Markita Schulman is a writer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She currently teaches English composition at Rutgers-Newark and NJIT and spends 12+ hours each week on public transit. Her in-progress first book, Vagaries, is based on her observations of intimacy, generosity, and violence on the NYC subway.
